1/7/11 - History was made last night as Dalmuir won the CDBA League title for the first time in over 30 years. Despite a 10-8 loss to Radnor Park (the only defeat of the season), enough was done to secure the silverware. In a climax that will be difficult to beat for pure excitement, the championship was decided in the last end of the last game to be concluded. A last two incredible bowls whilst under immense pressure from Dalmuir skip George Griffin ensured that the trophy presentation would take place at Stevenson Street later in the evening. Photos to follow.......
7/5/11 - Youth was the key ingredient at the Stewart Cup as Mark and Ryan Hughes lifted the trophy following victory over the Ians MacLeod and McLachlan in the final. Worth noting that this was Ryan's first competition since stepping up from the Junior Section, so he therefore commands a perfect record in internal competitions!
16/4/11 - A historic day for Dalmuir at the annual Rock friendly today. Dalmuir returned home with the silver salver for the first time following an overall 4-shot victory. Proudest man was undoubtedly President Joe Doogan who skipped the highest up rink on the day. Photos can be viewed here, as well as photos taken at the Juniors Section opening earlier in the day.
9/4/11 - The sun shone on all those that participated in the President Vs Vice President game this afternoon. Congratulations to President Joe Doogan who took the spoils from Vice President Stevie Doogan for the second time in less than 24 hours!
8/4/11 - The Green is now officlally open following a well attended opening night. Thanks to our guests of honour Provost Denis Agnes, Bowls Scotland President Ernie Johnson and DBA President George McCartney for taking the time to attend.
